Strikingly crisp images thanks to practical autofocus   

Its fast autofocus is a special highlight among the numerous auto functions. The integrated autofocus optics ensures constantly sharp images from a distance of only 10 cm. If required, the focus can also be controlled manually using the free IDS software suite. 
The software function "Adjustable focus range" allows users to freely select the focus range. This enables them to determine the position of the measurement window within the image themselves.  

Extremely compact perfect for embedded systems 

With a weight of only 12 grams and extremely compact dimensions of only 26.5 x 23 x 21.5 millimetres, the uEye XS camera is one of the smallest in the Vision market and it can fits anywhere. Thanks to its lightweight, compact design, the uEye XS can be easily integrated into embedded systems. The XS can easily be integrated thanks to its USB 2.0 interface and Mini B USB 2.0 connector. The camera is the ideal choice for all applications that required a small yet smart camera with a great range of features. It can therefore be used in a variety of ways, for example in medical or security technology, in transport and logistics or as a component for kiosk systems.

Equipped with OmniVision’s 5.04 MPix CMOS sensor and a pixel size of 1.4 µm the camera delivers excellent images quality and accuracy in colour reproduction – even in the harshest ambient light conditions. From automatic white balance and automatic exposure to auto gain and autofocus, the XS delivers the best images in every situation. Adjust the sharpness of the image, e.g. edge enhancement, individually to recognize even more details. By activating the mirror function, you can mirror your images horizontally or vertically. 

In JPEG mode, the model delivers 15 frames per second and up to 30 fps at reduced resolution. In addition, eight freely selectable and easily switchable image formats from VGA to 5 MP are available. In combination with the integrated JPEG compression, the mini camera is also suitable for video streaming with 720p (HD-ready) or 1080p (Full HD).
