The MTA Robot Challenge is a highly creative intellectual playground designed for students in engineering and technology fields. With the theme "Applying Artificial Intelligence to Enhance Precision Inspection in Mechanical Engineering" the competition promises many exciting challenges and offers young talents the opportunity to showcase their abilities. Organized as part of the MTA Vietnam exhibition, the competition will take place on July 5th, 2024, at SECC - Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, featuring the participation of 10 teams from various universities..
Mr. Phan Dang Khoa - representative of Temas Engineering JSC - is a member of the judging panel and also serves as a technical advisor for the competition.
The main objective of the MTA Robot Challenge is to create an intellectual playground where young researchers can learn and innovate. The competition also serves as a bridge for universities and researchers to interact and connect, while expanding their knowledge about the importance of robotics in the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The MTA Robot Challenge encourages creativity, updates participants on the latest trends in the field of robotics, and fosters the development of young talents in the automation industry.
A representative from Temas is guiding the competition team in operating the Techman AI Cobot.
The competition consists of two main tasks:
Part 1: Smart factory
Part 2: Lrogramming with Techman AI Cobot
Temas Engineering JSC is not only participating as a judge but also as the main sponsor of the competition. Temas introduces the Techman AI Cobot - a collaborative robot with an integrated camera on its arm, combining advanced AI features.
Mr. Khoa is instructing the team on programming with TMflow.
Students are familiarized with a simple programming interface, combined with a built-in machine vision system to carry out the test task - sorting goods. Thanks to the easy programming feature with visual software, teams need only 8-10 minutes to complete the robot application test using machine vision.
Techman AI Cobot will automatically stop when it detects a collision with a human, ensuring safety.
The robot can be guided by holding and directly leading it by hand.
After an intense competition, representatives from Temas Engineering JSC, along with other judges, selected the teams with the best performances. The MTA Robot Challenge concluded with the championship awarded to Ton Duc Thang University, the second prize to the Branch of the university of Transportation in the Ho Chi Minh city and Thu Duc College of Technology.
The teams with outstanding performances were honored.
Temas presented the award to a competing team.
Temas' participation as both sponsor and judge not only enhanced the quality of the MTA Robot Challenge but also demonstrated the company's commitment to supporting and developing young talents in the field of robotics. The competition promises to be a memorable event, contributing positively to the development of the automation industry in Vietnam.
