The PET bottle blow molding factory utilizes Techman robots - Chumpower

In today's era of increasingly sophisticated technology, businesses and factories are striving to leverage human potential more effectively by assigning them higher-value tasks such as R&D projects, process planning, and more. So, who will handle the daily, basic, and repetitive tasks?

Introducing Chumpower Machine Corp.

Chumpower Machine Corp., based in Taiwan, is a leading manufacturer of PET blow molding machines. Established in 1981, Chumpower boasts over 40 years of industry experience and has emerged as one of the world's largest suppliers of PET blow molding machines. In addition to machines, Chumpower also provides accessories such as drill chuck heads, tool holders, and spindles.

The company commands an 85% market share in Taiwan's export of PET blow molding machines and is rapidly expanding into global markets. Currently, Chumpower serves customers in over 115 countries, demonstrating its extensive global reach and growth trajectory.

Empowered humans with Techman robot

Faced with large order volumes and limited manpower, Chumpower has opted to deploy Techman collaborative robots on their production lines to address these challenges.

System engineer Ping Chen noticed significant improvements in both workforce allocation and operational efficiency. He remarked, ''Before integrating Techman Robots, our colleagues were constantly stationed by machines to complete processes at specific positions, such as quality inspections or transferring goods to other equipment. Now, we delegate all these repetitive tasks to collaborative robots. Workers are now freed from these monotonous roles and can support other production tasks. This has led to notable improvements, especially during peak order periods.”

Harnessing the flexibility of Techman Robots

At Chumpower, engineers are effectively leveraging the flexible capabilities of Techman Robots. According to Ping Chen, "Currently, we are deploying TM Robots in the laser engraving room and at the end of the blow molding machine. Techman Robots can operate with customizable grippers, so we've utilized a special gripper that can hold 2 blanks simultaneously, reducing process cycle times. For the collaborative robots deployed at the end of the blow molding machine, we use the robot's vision function to inspect whether the bottle bases meet standards and pack bottles according to required sequences. Importantly, the HMI (Human-Machine Interface, including touchscreen, buttons, keyboard, and graphical interface software) of the TM Robot is user-friendly and easy to operate. Users can easily adjust settings to handle different types of bottles or meet specific production requirements."

The deployment of Techman Robots at Chumpower serves as an excellent example of how collaborative robots are enhancing workplace environments for businesses. In an era where workforce resources are increasingly valuable, efficiently allocating labor is crucial for business managers. Techman Robots, with their impressive features and capabilities, can handle a variety of tasks and applications, helping managers optimize costs and significantly improve production efficiency.
