Seminar: Optimizing Production Lines with Epson Robots

The event, co-organized by Epson Vietnam and Temas Engineering Corporation, aimed to give businesses a comprehensive overview of Epson’s industrial robot lineup, practical use cases in manufacturing, and how robotics can help enhance operational efficiency on the factory floor.

Right from the start, Mr. Ippei Nakata, representing Epson Vietnam, opened the program with a keynote speech emphasizing the importance of bringing advanced robotic technology to the Vietnamese market.

Following that, Mr. Vivekanand Patil delivered an insightful presentation on Epson’s robotics activities across the ASEAN region, the growing shift toward automated production models, and the competitive advantages that make Epson a trusted choice for many businesses throughout Southeast Asia.

Next, Mr. Le Huy Long from Epson provided an in-depth overview of the company’s current robot portfolio—including SCARA models, 6-axis robots, and the All-in-One series. His presentation featured practical examples showing how Epson robots are being applied across multiple industries, giving attendees a clear understanding of how the solutions could be integrated into their own production environments.

One of the most anticipated segments came from Ms. Vu Thi Giang, representing Temas. She presented real-life case studies from Vietnam, where Temas designed and deployed automation systems built around Epson robots.

Her talk covered the unique requirements of each customer, how Temas optimized machine design based on actual operating conditions, the working principles behind each system, and why Epson robots were selected as the core technology for various strategic projects. These practical stories resonated strongly with attendees thanks to their high applicability and clear problem-solving value.

Representing Epson, Mr. Natsuzaka also shared an expert perspective on robotic applications in printer manufacturing—a field where Epson has extensive experience. The case studies demonstrated Epson robots’ high precision, stability, and speed, especially in tasks involving picking, assembly, and handling small components.

The seminar’s demo area left a strong impression with a series of live demonstrations, such as pick-and-place applications combined with force sensors or integrated with the Flexible Part Feeder Temas TMF-300. Attendees had the chance to interact directly with various robots, including:

Epson LS3-B

T3 All-in-One paired with the Flexible Part Feeder Temas TMF-300

C4 6-axis robot

VT6L All-in-One 6-axis robot

Epson’s newest model: the LA

These demos helped businesses clearly visualize how Epson robots can be applied in real production lines. In particular, the integrated solution combining the Epson T3 robot with the Flexible Part Feeder Temas TMF-300—developed by Temas, garnered significant attention for its precise picking-and-placing capabilities and ability to adapt to diverse product shapes.

The seminar took place in a dynamic and engaging atmosphere, receiving highly positive feedback from participants. Questions related to production line optimization, robot selection, investment cost, and implementation planning were directly addressed by experts from both Epson and Temas, creating an open and practical discussion environment.
