Compact board-level camera with minimal dimensions 

The uEye+ XLS camera models are only 29 x 29 x 7 mm in size, which means it is the smallest board-level cameras in the IDS portfolio. The boards are so small that they can be plugged directly into the lens holders. They hardly heat up at all during operation. This makes them particularly suitable for device construction and embedded vision applications. 

The name indicates that it is a sub-size variant ("small") of the popular uEye XLE family. The software features of both series are the same.   

Those who need models with housings are well advised to look at the uEye XCP family. 

When the basics matter 

The cameras are particularly suitable for projects where especially low-cost, extremely compact cameras with and without lens mounts are required in large quantities. Customers can freely choose between models without lens mount and with CS- or S-mount. This opens up a wide range of application scenarios, from production and automation to small appliance manufacturing. 

Easy to install, for embedded applications 

Thanks to USB Type-B connectors and Vision Standard compatibility (U3V / GenICam), the models can be easily integrated into any image processing system and used with any GenICam-compliant software.
