Easily connects to a PC via USB.
As a table-top unit, it can be used in employee authentication and point management systems using IC cards by simply placing it on a desk.
When the desktop stand is removed, the housing design is ideal for integration into POS cash registers, payment terminals and ATMs.
The ICU-800D is a keyboard input compatible model that can be used immediately by simply connecting it to a PC! (The ICU-800D has a reading function only. Writing is not possible).

Switchable interface between HID mode and virtual COM mode [ICU-800D]

The ICU-800D keyboard input model is ready to use by simply connecting it to a PC!
By simply connecting the ICU-800D to an existing employee authentication or point management system, the existing system can be upgraded to an IC card compatible system without any modifications.

HID keyboard input supported [ICU-800D]

Automatic conversion of read data to keyboard input without the need for programme control from the host.

Virtual COM mode, which does not require host control, is also available [ICU-800D].

Data read from the IC card can be automatically sent to the USB virtual COM port.
No command control is required from the host system to instruct the start of reading or to transmit data.

NFC IP-2 (ISO/IEC 21481) compliant

Up to 32 units can be connected [ICU-800].

The interface is provided as standard and allows daisy chain connection of up to 32 units.
The ICU-800D cannot connect more than two units in an RS485 daisy chain, only one unit can be connected.

SB, RS-485, RS-232C and DIO standard features

In/Out Two DIOs with two points each are built in.
[ICU-800D] Digital output and LEDs on the board can be lit when reading if set in the configuration software.
[ICU-800] External switch inputs and confirmation LEDs can be controlled by the host’s programme control.
