Two operating modes

  • Two modes can be selected to suit the application: stand-alone mode, which operates autonomously according to pre-defined settings, and command response mode, which operates according to commands from the host. 
  • In stand-alone mode, the device operates as an IC card reader and various settings can be easily made via a browser.
  • The user simply sets the target IC card to be read, the data to be sent, the LEDs and sounds, etc., without having to write any code.
  • If more complex operations are required, the on-board software can be customized. 
  • RS-232C and LAN are available; for LAN connections, the user can choose between HTTP and Socket communication.
  • It can also be used in environments where USB cannot be used on a PC for security reasons. 

 

Ethernet standard (PoE compatible) 

  • HTTP communication is possible, allowing it to be used in system design in conjunction with web applications.  
  • PoE is also included as standard, so there is no need for a power supply and it can be operated using just a LAN cable. 

 

High-intensity LEDs with tri-colour illumination, fitted with speakers 

  • The user interface design features tricolour LEDs around the reading area, making it very easy to see when an IC card has been read and to confirm when an error has occurred.
  • Sound and music can also be played through the built-in speaker.
